We devote significant resources to training and developing our staff to ensure we are at the forefront in swimming and water safety education. The nature of our business allows for a combination of full time, part time and casual positions. We are open 7 days a week from early morning to late evenings. Swim Instructors

Do you love swimming and enjoy being in and around the water? Royal Life Saving Aquatic Academy is always looking for friendly, reliable and motivated individuals to join the team in a casual capacity. Our swimming teachers enjoy the benefits of:

  • Flexible working hours:
    • 8am-12noon
    • 9:30am – 2:00pm (school hours)
    • 3:30pm – 8:00pm
  • Above award rates of pay
  • Friendly, encouraging enthusiastic team members
  • Private, clean and modern facilities

As the leader in drowning prevention, we will provide you with the tools and ongoing training to become a world class swimming teacher. As a Royal Life Saving registered swim school all our employees need to hold current Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety and CPR qualifications. We can assist you in gaining qualifications if you do not already hold a teaching licence.

Need practical swim teaching experience?

AUSTSWIM Candidates are required to complete practical teaching hours that include observation, supervised teaching and verification of teaching competency. The Royal Life Saving Aquatic Academy is able to provide aspiring swimming and water safety teachers with the opportunity to gain critical teaching experience on a voluntary basis.
