Competitive Squad

Within the competitive squad swimming program, students are enrolled into one of five levels.

The level criteria is as follows:

Black Caps

Black Caps swimmers are expected to complete 5-9 sessions per week + Dry Land. Session numbers are set by the coach based on the individual athlete needs.

The focus of this squad is for individual requirements, focusing on training for performance. They train to compete at Target Carnivals, Area, NSW, National and International Championships

Red Caps

Red Caps swimmers are expected to complete 5-8 sessions per week + Dry Land. Session numbers are set by the coach based on the individual athlete needs.

The focus of this squad is for individual requirements, focusing on training for performance. They train to compete at Target Carnivals, Area, NSW and National.

Yellow Caps

Yellow Caps swimmers are 10-17 years and are recommended to complete 3-6 sessions per week.

The focus of this squad is IM, Aerobic and Skill Development. They train to compete at Target Carnivals, School, Area, Metropolitan and NSW Championships.

White Caps

White Caps swimmers are 12 years and under and are recommended to complete 2-5 sessions per week.

The focus of this squad is IM, Aerobic training with technique and race skill development. They train to compete at Development Carnivals, Speedo Sprint, Target and Area Carnivals.

Adult and Junior Fitness Development

Development Pass members are 12 years and over and generally swim 1-3 sessions per week.

The focus of this squad is Aerobic conditioning and skill development. They train towards Triathlon, Masters, Ocean Swims, Club, School and General Fitness.
